The Hideout is a true oasis of tranquility in the middle of nature. We arrived late at night and were greeted very kindly. A dinner was offered to us despite the late hour. However, as we were very tired from the long drive from the airport, we declined, thankfully, this offer.

The breakfast the next morning consisted of a rich buffet with various delicacies from the region. From fresh fruit over omelet to sharp curry dishes we were missing nothing and we strengthened for the day.
The Hideout Hotel is conveniently located near the Sigiriya Rock and is a good base for a trip there. This is what we did. After a long busy and eventful day we arrived at the hotel again in the evening and could enjoy a rich and very delicious dinner. The next morning we checked out in heavy rain and made our way to Kandy.
