A walk from Ella station on the tracks to the Nine Arch Bridge is a very recommendable excursion. The danger of being crossed by a train is very low, because the trains run very slowly and rarely.
From the Ella train station, follow the path along the railway tracks towards Badulla.
After about half an hour is a tunnel. When crossing the tunnel you should not look up if you are afraid of bats.
A few minutes walk and you can see the bridge. After the bridge, a steep path leads to a tea factory a little later on the right. From there a road back to Ella. We went wrong and after a long walk through the tea plantations in the place Demodora arrived. For the return we took a tuk tuk.
